In recent news.

This past week my FB feed has been blown up by the recent legalization of same-sex marriage. I have lots of feelings about this topic. Lots. And probably not in the ways you're thinking either. I don't have an issue with LGBT people- quite the opposite. People are free to live their lives however they want. If you're gay-great! If you're straight- good for you! It doesn't bother me. Do your thing! :)

I support Prop 8 and believe in defending traditional marriage and the family. My religious beliefs are the core of my being. We all have a right to express our beliefs. We don't all have to agree, but we should respect others beliefs regardless.

Let It Go

I've had a trial come my way within the past week, and I've got to be honest- I feel like I'm at a fork in the road. Moreso that I have many forks in my road currently...and its been more than nerve-wracking. But I've found that the more that I put my trust in my Heavenly Father, the more at peace I am. I'm trying to let go of this burden and stress and apply the Atonement more in my life. It is hard sometimes. Sometimes I want to focus on this/that/the-other and try to control everything, but oh my gosh things are so much easier when I let it go! (Let it go, Let it go...)

Weekend/weekly Recap:

This past week...
I borrowed this from the library. It's super good.

Jennifer & Josh came to visit. I arranged for Jeff to take us out on the boat. (Poor Ryan had to work :/ )

 They were super crazy.
We were all super maxed afterwards.

I bought and baked a delicious pizza...and then proceeded to drop it on the floor.

The after math. We ate some of it anyway.

My sweet Ryan cleaned up my mess.

Ryan surprised me with these chips. They are my favorite!

We went to the ward Ice Cream Social. I love icecream and hanging out with peeps!

We went to In-N-Out late at night. It was fun. While we were in the drive thru, we watched this video of guys trying on leggings. We laughed pretty hard too.

In our house, we eat healthy things like salads topped with Cheetos.

We made Cherry Delight in preparation for the Father's Day BBQ with my family.

 "Let's make the same face."

(I don't know where he gets this from...)

I love her. That is all.

Regarding Ryan

Regarding my sweet Ryan, (a public love note)

He is my everything. I love him more than I can possibly explain. His bright eyes and contrasting curls captivate me. His lighthearted manner and sense of humor keep me laughing. We have the best inside jokes! I love his sweet demeanor and the way he always listens. He is the best listener I know! He's always so loving towards me in small and big ways. Plus he always humors me when I show him YouTube videos that I like- that's love right there. I love that he works so hard to provide for me and our future family. He is the hardest working person I know! He is going to be the best father someday- and he deserves 100,000 Father's Day cookies. I love my Bubs!

Happy (future) Father's Day, Ryan!

Out of my comfort zone.

Most people don't know this, but I'm afraid of a lot of things. (I've become more aware of this over past few months.) I've spent too much time being afraid to try something new and I'm done with it. That being said, I'm trying to be more open to trying new things. I'm trying to make a more conscious effort to push away that awkward feeling of discomfort and just go for it!

Case in point:
  •  I tried waterskiing. It was harder (but strangely alot easier) than I thought it would be. It was a really big step for me.
  • I drove the boat. That was way harder than I thought it would be. But I did it.
(More lessons in both to follow)

This is how I felt afterwards. I still feel super accomplished!

Recap:

Ryan & I went to see Jurassic World on opening night and it was so fun! The theater was packed and the movie was great and Chris Pratt was super attractive and Ryan surprised me by buying me my fave candy. All makings of a great night.

Ariana (my sort-of niece) came to visit for the day/overnight, so we took the boat out. (as afore mentioned)

We were all super hungry after, but were super bummed that Taylor's was closed. So we drove to In-N-Out, but the line for the drive thru was super long. (Like right-after-a-youth-dance long) So then we thought about going to Islands, but it was too late. We ended up at Five Guys.

We ate peanuts while we waited for our food. I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions and jalapenos- which just for the record is super duper hot because they don't take out the seeds.

Ryan made me breakfast. What a sweetie.

We went grocery shopping and Ryan whistled The Wise Man Built His House Upon The Rock while he looked for the perfect carton of eggs. I'm pretty sure he's the most hilarious person alive (next to me of course).

I also realized while we were in the ice cream section that we wore the exact same outfit. (blue shirts- same shade, black pants, sandals)

I watched The Devil Wears Prada while I painted my nails and drank a milkshake. All was well with the world that day.

I was having a hard day, so Bubs did me a huge solid and suggested we go to Walmart to get him some new polos for work. He even let me pick the ones I wanted him to get. What a sweetie.

 The final countdown!

Then he surprised me by taking me to dinner!

 "Oh my gooooooooosh..."

...and another surprise...he took me next door for dessert!

 I'm a stalker...hehe...

I may or may not have washed and kept these spoons to put in my lunches...

...for some reason they sell dodgeballs...?

My super fave work bestie, Tricia, got me this super cute water bottle as a souvenir from her Disneyland Trip. How awesome is that? I use it everyday!
