Throwback to Spring!

My first prego OOTD!

I adore this dress so much! My favorite thing about it is that all I have to do to make it "fall appropriate" is add a sweater! So easy! ...and as the weather gets cooler, you better believe I'll be wearing it with a scarf and boots too! New church-appropriate fall uniform FTW!

Dress: ASOS online, clearance= $25
Belt: H&M, clearance= $3
Sweater: H&M, clearance= $15

Look at that bump! As of late, I've been showing a little more!

I'm so looking forward to all the cute maternity clothes I'm going to get once I'm further along! (Target maternity clearance racks here I come!)

How far in: 17 weeks!

Baby is the size of a/an: Onion! Our baby is getting so big!

Feeling: Emotional. I've been so weepy and dramatic these past few days. Gotta love those hormone surges. Ha.

Total weight gain: Not much weight gain. I've noticed that I show a lot more at the end of the day vs. in the morning.
Wearing: My maternity work pants. The elastic waistband makes my life so much easier! Especially when I have to run to the bathroom at the drop of a hat.

Sleep: I've been sleeping so well! Yay!
Miss anything: Not having sore boobs. (Sorry if that was TMI)

Next doctor's appointment: October 13th. This is my last one before we have our gender reveal ultrasound at the end of October. I'm so excited for that!!!

Movement: None yet.

Food cravings: Yogurt and granola. :)
Labor signs: Nope.
Looking forward to: Nesting! Part of me is really glad that we're not nesting yet because it will only make me more impatient for our little one to get here. :)

You guys, I am so grateful to be having such an easy pregnancy! This truly is a blessing! :)

Dates and Birthdays and Selfies, Oh My!

So much has happened since I last did a recap. Let's recap:

Recap:
  • I'm pregnant! (I thought I'd tell you, just in case you didn't read my last two posts)
  •  Bubs and I went to the Temple.

I took weird selfies and texted them to Ryan...but sadly he didn't get them because his phone has trouble receiving picture texts. So now I get to share the creepiness with you!

It was this kid's birthday...

...so me and Tricia decorated accordingly.

We had a double date/game night. This card caused us to laugh uncontrollably for far too long.

LadyBird/Little Miss turned 16! She threw a sweet bash at the neighborhood mansion. They had a tetherball court...

...and a tennis court, trampoline, swimming pool, a DJ...

Most of the teenage sassies.

"On the count of three, jump and say 'Happy birthday, Allie!' "

Oh yes. There was a bonfire too.

There was a birthday surprise too! The DJ called everyone to the tennis court/dancefloor and announced that someone requested a special dance with the birthday girl. I was super excited because I thought that one of the boys in attendance had arranged this, but to everyone's surpise- Big Boy brought out a life-size teddy bear for her gift! The DJ had her slow dance with it, which she gladly did until cutie XanderGreen cut in. Aww.

When XanderGreen asked her to dance, she passed her bear to Mother and I, so the only logical thing to do was take selfies with it. So we did.

Her cake was an ice cream cake that looked like a watermelon.

We served ice cream, donuts, candy, soda and ICE CREAM!

This little giant cone kept me up far too late. Totally worth it though! Happy birthday, Sassy Girl!

My cutie pregnant friend, Kathleen and I matched so well on Sunday that we had to take a picture! (She's due in January with their first baby! They're having a girl! How fun is that?) You can't tell from the pic, but my skirt is black with white stripes. :)

Weekly Obsessions:

  • Fall weather! You guys: I've been living in boots, sweaters, scarves, etc. (ie my new fall uniform) I need the fall to be here for reals.
  • Fall colors! I've been loving deep purples, oranges and browns. Ah, fall.
  • My new glasses! Don't worry, I will debut them here for all to see.
  • Jersey-knit turban headbands! The perfect addition to my fall uniform.
  • Rain! I am obsessed.
  • Levels by Nick Jonas! I mean really.
  • Grey's Anatomy! Just because.
The YW Theme.
Always my fave.

This meme.
...which I love!

Thankful Thursday: our baby, sleep, family, super awesome co-workers, fall weather, the fall in general, rain, technology, the simple life!

Congrats to the Heilers!

Weekend Recap:

On Friday, Bubs went to a friend's bachelor party (sushi night), and I Netflixed the night away. On Saturday morning, we ran errands, like going to Cash and Carry. It was super fun and we got all kinds of goodies.

Later that afternoon, we pitched in to help with Katie & Mandrew's wedding reception. It was too cute!

Their cake was awesome! Because both the bride & groom love gaming and general geekery, their cake was decorated (and topped) with video game and anime characters. The amazing part is that only the top and bottom tiers are real! A family friend free-handed the graphics on the cake- talk about talent! I especially love that the graphics look like they were etched onto the cake and fit in perfectly with the rustic/fall theme!
Well done!

 The end result was breath-taking!

Bubs helped prep/cook the food. (which was to die for BTW)

The best party was hanging out with family! 'Aunt Kissy' was charge with
watching the girls.

 These two were so precious!

 The bouquet toss.

 Congrats to the Newlyweds!

Tear-down was super quick, which was really nice. Plus, these peeps always make things more fun.

Nicolas gave baby LJ a ride on the bike.

...and then Aunt Patty wanted a turn...

...and then it was Labor Day! We took Best Friend Travis to breakfast at the Granite Rock Grill. Talk about awesome food and company!

Thankful Thursday: forever families!!!

Family is the best! We had so much fun laughing and hanging out with our fam this past weekend! They're so fun!
