Our Big News.

As you know, this blog has evolved into so many things: a diary, a blessings list, a lifestyle log, a place for me to share things that I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with anyone face to face. I honestly didn't plan for this. It's taken on a life of its own, & I'm really liking it. I love my little, insignificant blog. It makes me happy. I love that it's so many things...& I'm grateful to all of you for reading it. I appreciate that you're checking in on me. Sometimes, all I can hope for is that I can say things in a way that makes sense-I used to be more eloquent. (I'm working on it.) Anyways, on to the big news...I'm sad (& happy) to report that Bubs & I are moving. We've made the decision to move in with my in-laws in Loomis & save up for a house of our own. It will definitely be an adventure!

I've felt such a mix of emotions since we made this decision...I'm sad to leave our ward, my friends & especially my Nursery kids. They make me so so happy! Their sweet, innocent little spirits remind me that there is so much that's great in this life. They teach me so much- compassion, love & concern for others, innocence, positivity, honesty, being happy because of the smallest things. These kids make me feel like someday I'll be a good great mom. (It also helps that they're all so well behaved & easy to teach). I will miss my friends! The hardest part of this is I feel like I had just started to put down roots here & now we're leaving. Not forever. In fact, I'll be coming back M-F to go to work (same job) & also to keep in touch with all of you sweet gals that I'm still getting to know!

On the flip side, I'm ready to start this new chapter of our life together: one that involves buying our very own house that we can furnish & paint & decorate however we want & eventually fill with sweet little kids that look just like my Bubs. I am excited to plan our future and start having a family of our own. But we have a timeline. I have a timeline. I'm not there yet, but I think maybe within the next 5 years we could be at that point. We'll see. Big things are in store for us. Big, life-changing things. And I am so excited!

...our house is such a mess right now with all the packing & decluttering that's going on...on the upside, it's hardly been stressful! Yay!

Recap:

  Impromptu ladies night!
"Three twins!"

After the Relief Society activity last week, I went to Crazy For Yogurt (Stacy's idea) with these suoer cute ladies to try their new icecream donuts! They are so amazing, you guys! So amazing, in fact, that I had to go on Groupon & buy the same coupn that we had just used moments earlier! So awesome! (2 of these for $4.50...go on Groupon & buy it right now!)
...you can use Sweetened Condensed Milk as a topping?!

I split mine with Stacy. We did half mint & chip, half cookie dough.
 "With our powers combined..."

Brittany & Kim & I went for a 3 mile walk! It was so fun! We even went Geocaching at the same time!

Bubs & I had lunch with the in-laws & were lucky enough to see Bubs' bestie, Travis, while he was here for the weekend!

We went on a date to the Chili's by our house! Fun fact: when Ryan & I had decided that we wanted to get married, we took my parents to dinner at this exact same Chili's to tell them. Also: our (now)Bishop/my Senior year seminary teacher was there waiting tables & we told him right away. Fun, right?

*sarcasm* "You look so happy, Bubs!"

...then he made this face...I love this guy!

Notice the intense concentration in his eyes. He is very serious when it comes to tweaking food to make it better. Seriously. He makes this face every. time.

Of course, I had to take like a billion selfies, but I had to be sneaky about it because every time our waitress would come around, I would put my phone down because I was afraid that she would judge me. Isn't it funny how weird & self-conscious girls are around each other?

He loves to mess with me when I'm trying to take pictures of/with him...99% of the time I'm ok with it because he still lets me take them.

See what I mean?

(The Kings game was son, hence him not looking at me...we got out butts handed to us...boo...)

Areas I'm trying to improve in:

One of my New Year's resolutions is not to let my fears get in the way of me doing things, especially when it comes to trying new things.

I'm also trying really hard to forgive myself for past mistakes & focus on my future instead of my past.

This speaks to me! I'm trying to do every one of these things on a daily basis!

Brittany's been teaching me how to bargain hunt! Thanks to her, I'm a pro at scoring amazing deals from Target!
I got this shirt & pencil skirt both off the Target clearance rack two weeks ago!

...and some chunky heeled black boots that retailed for $40, but I got them for $16!!! I love coupon apps!
Went to this place for the first time & consigned a shirt & bought an H&M nude cardigan for like $4! FTW!

It probably sounds super silly, but up until 1.5 weeks ago, I was terrified of backing into parking spaces. Bubs encouraged me to try it, but I never would. One day I actually did & felt so relieved! It's so easy to do! As evidence by the above pic.
I tried out this hairstyle. It turned out like this:

...and all day long, I felt like this:

More recap:
My eShakti dress came in the mail! Yay!!!
The back is super low, though. I'm still trying to figure out how to wear it without having finagle my G's.

I was kind of liking this...

...not so much this though. I think I might just order another Downeast Basics tee but with a lower cut back & front & in the same green color. We'll see.

I ordered my first StitchFix!

...you guys! I was SO in love with this outfit! The fit of all the clothes was killer!
Another great thing about this was that it came with pictures of 2 ways to wear each piece! All in all, I loved the selections my stylist made, but did not love the prices! All five pieces cost over $250 dollars! (and that was with a $75 discount! Yikes! Needless to say, I sent them all back. (If I was independently wealthy, I would have bought the blazer, green top & pants without hesitation!)
I went to a Chiropractic Billing & Coding seminar!

Beth, Dr Syl & I met up with Bubs for lunch at Adalbertos. It was to die for, per usual.

Random things that happened this past week:

I beat Bubs at TriviaCrack! I had to post this because this is like only the second time that I beat him. Ha.

Random thing that did not happen this week:

 Volunteering. Read about it here.

Thankful Thursday: hugs, new friends, honesty, my Ryan, fuzzy blankets, the power of prayer, the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

I hope you're all having a superamazingawesome pre-Friday!

XOXO,
