"...and now I know...

...my heart is a ghost town."
-Adam Lambert
(that song just gets me...)

Recap:

Bubs and I ate ice cream. I wanted the smallest one, but he convinced me (didn't take much convincing) to get the largest one and save the leftovers for later...so I got the big one...and I ate the big one all in one sitting, which was a fantastic horrible idea. And I regretted for the rest of the day. Serves me right. (It was a fun date though...)

This kiddo submitted his LDS mission papers! Woo! Who knows how long it will be before he gets that big envelope in the mail? ;)

Weekly Obsessions:
  • Ghost Town by Adam Lambert!
  • Sending Tricia like 100 Pinterest pins a day (but that's like my life, not just this week...)
  • Random texts from friends!
  • Grey's Anatomy (In case you were wondering, Cristina is my new fave because she's basically my opposite- she says whatever she wants and doesn't care what other people think of her, Karev too because he's becoming less of a jerk)

These shirts.
They blur the line between want and need.

Ryan's Weekly Obsessions:
  • The A Team
  • the Batman version of Doodle Jump
  • Total War: Rome II (he loves strategy games)
  • Madden Football

Thankful Thursday: supportive friends, my sweet Ryan, opportunities to grow, prayer, technology that makes life easier than ever, prayer.

Wedding weekend!

So this past weekend was Wedding Weekend! Talk about awesome!

Recap:
It started off on Friday when Dad-In-Law sent me to work with a super yummy breakfast burrito. It was the best surprise!

Tricia and I hung out after work on Friday. It was great. We laughed so hard.

After Hangout-Bestie-Time, I picked up Ryan from work and we headed to the Bay for Wedding Weekend! We stopped at Pedrick on the way there and Ryan surprised me with a bag of assorted taffy! Yay!

He was really into his pistachios. Ha.

When we got to the hotel, we were met by tons of family hanging out in the lobby. It was a party! We stopped by our room to drop off our luggage and Ryan cut up the cantaloupe he bought.

I love hotels. I love them. I always have to check everything out. Our room was great.

We hung out in the lobby with fam and played cards and ate food.
It was so fun!

...and then the Big Day arrived...

I helped Jen a little with getting ready the morning of. We ate breakfast in her room when I noticed this perfect accidental-Disney display. (Snow White, anyone?)

I went with Mom-In-Law, Photographer-Extraordinaire-Tawnee, and the maid of Honor to the Oakland Temple early to get the Lovebirds squared away with pre-Sealing details.

The Sealing was lovely. We walked the temple grounds while we waited for the Newlyweds to emerge.

This temple though! Keeping with the Disney theme. (the spires remind me of Cinderella's castle)

Tawnee is the best photographer on the planet. She was great for our Big Day and so awesome for theirs too! (notice Sassy Ryan photobombing)

Ryan in a bow tie=my life has been made.

We were pretty tired. Can you tell?

After all the pics, we headed back to Loomis for the Family/Wedding Party Luncheon. The food was perfect per usual. (Same awesome caterer from our Big Day too!) Afterwards we took a fat nap (which was heavenly) and then ran to the store to buy a gift and some window markers for the getaway car.

The reception was so fun! Everything was Dinsey- Disney piano medleys played by the ever so talented Aunt Billie, Disney photo booth, Cinderella's carriage centerpieces, and so much more! We danced like crazy and our lives were made when they played Gangnam Style. (Backstory: we played this at our reception and all had a blast getting crazy to it, so Jen promised us she'd play it too. It was so fun!)

Post-wedding fun:

Pretty much the whole family stayed at the house, so we played lots of cards and had so much fun. I always lose. But I wasn't in last place, which was a win in my book.

I love this guy. He was being such a sass, hence the hysterical laughter.

We hung out with my fam. I had to document that both Jeff and Ryan were playing Doodle Jump at the same time. (in true Ryan-fashion, he had the Batman Doodle Jump)

Weekly Obsessions:

This text convo.
...and then this happened. I love him because he puts up with my shenanigans.

This meme!
I love this.

Thankful Thursday: sacred temple ordinances, prayer, the Spirit, watching those I love get married to the person they love, constant love and support from family, the gift of life.

You guys! There are big things in store for us. That's all I can say for now. Stay tuned. ;)

Random:

Ryan just popped in and handed me this little guy. Talk about cute. He came in a cereal box with some little things you can cut out and put in his hand (ie a laser gun, teddy bear and flower). Aww.

Stay tuned for a ridiculous amount of wedding weekend pics!
