Looking forward to: finding out the gender of our babe!!

I found the cutest prompt from a blogger that I follow on IG (@mckellwilson) and I thought it would be fun to fill it out! Without further ado...

1. What is something you want to remember about this particular season of your life?
I want to remember how excited and fun my life is. I am over the moon excited about Baby 2 and soooo excited for Adam to be a big brother! He is such a good little "helper" and I think he will be the sweetest to his new sibling. I also am trying so hard to soak up all this only-child-time with Adam. He makes life so fun and exciting! He continues to remind me how beautiful life is.

2. Through each new milestone in your child's life, (like the transition from crawling to walking or gaining independence in other ways) how have you adapted and transitioned your own life as well?
I am learning what things I am willing to let slide. In other words, I have really re-prioritized and am allowing myself to do what feels right (even if that means letting the housework pile up a bit, so I can play with Adam or relax while he naps)

3. What was the transition into motherhood like for you? How did you manage adjusting to such a different season of life?
It was much different than I thought it was going to be. (But then again, isn't every new stage of life?) The sleep deprivation was my biggest struggle. But Adam was such an easy baby, which was a real tender mercy. He made my transition much easier, which I am forever grateful for.

4. In three words, how would you describe your current season of life?
Mellow. Silly. Perfect.

5. What advice would you give to mothers that are struggling to embrace the season of life they are in?
I would say to take a few minutes alone soaking up your kiddo(s). And schedule at least 20 minutes a day just for you to do something you love, whatever that may be. (Read a book, take a bath, paint your nails, put your feet up, etc) That way you have some time to recharge and you will feel more refreshed when it comes time to get back to your daily tasks. And don't forget that you are doing better than you think you are.

XOXO,

Alyssa
