I've been trying to work on the 'work attire' section of my wardrobe. If you follow me on Pinterest then you know that I've been pinning tons of outfit and styling ideas. I'm trying to look more professional and have more of a professional wardrobe . I've been really loving classic pieces that yield lots of outfit options. Such as blazers and chinos. I have enough statement jewelry to add interest, so now my focus is to acquire some basic wardrobe staples, like this:
Catch my drift? I'm compiling a list of all the basics I want...it might take a while...(If you were wondering what to get me for an anniversary/birthday/Christmas/just-because gift, money for a shopping trip is always a win on your part)
Since I started my wardrobe overhaul, I found that I keep coming back to Eshakti.com. They're a website based out of India, that allows you to customize your purchases! I have bought a dress and a few super cute blouses from them and I love that they fit perfectly! I've noticed that they fit especially well when I have them custom made (by plugging in my measurements instead of just a generic size). It only costs an additional $7.50 to customize any item! My favorite part is that I have to plug in my height (and arm length depending on the product) when ordering, so everything is the perfect length too! Plus they have sales going on pretty much all the time! I love feeling like I have a personal tailor! This website is tops, people. Go there right now and buy something.
(this post is not sponsored BTW. I wish it was because then I could score some sweet stuff!)
Recap:
This past week...
I wore a skirt for no reason and watched The Fault In Our Stars. It was a lovely girly day.Bubs took me on a date. Love him!
Ryan was intrigued by the way the napkins were folded...so he had to try it until he figured out how to do it.
Their eggplant and to die for!
We went to Laura-Jean's 1st birthday party!
The décor was so so cute!
She was the cutest I 'd ever seen her. (I didn't even know that was possible)
She didn't want to unwrap presents once she got these two dolls. They had to be confiscated so present-opening time wouldn't be at a standstill. Ha.
This is fam's reaction when they saw the video of Ryan getting (willingly) pepper-sprayed for his bachelor party. (Don't ask me why he did that)
Grandpa installed L-J's new swing.
...and Travis fell asleep...
It was quite the process.
She didn't like it at first.
Grandpa made Katie climb the tree to help hit set up the swing. She climbed it so fast. Like cat-fast.
He even rigged it with a rope to pull that swings her without him having to stand up. Ha.
He had "dad" try it out.
We had to trim the tree because of the swing. Ryan snapped that branch in half with his manly-man muscles.
Camie sent us home with oodles of candy. Sweet!
We had pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. This reminded me of that time we fed Baby Jinx whipped cream straight out of the can. It was pretty funny.
I watched Moulin Rouge. I always forget how sad that movie ends...
I watched Step Up with Travis...because we have a mutual love of Channing Tatum.
We had dinner with the Willis'.
Boys Club.
One thing I love about the Willis' is that they like to do stuff! We played outside for a while. I felt like a little kid again!
I ate way too many lemon bars.
They used Grace, Kissy and LJ as human weights. It was pretty funny.
LJ got a bath. She was so cute.
We ate Moose Tracks.
So remember how I have a new coworker, Tricia? Well she buys me candy. I told her she had to stop because I keep eating it.
